Cycle Syncing: How to Burn More Fat in Your Luteal Phase
How many of you have fallen off your workout routine right before your period?
That was me a couple years ago when I didn’t understand how my hormones impact motivation and physical capability. Now I know what my hormones are doing and how to adjust my workouts to match my ever-changing hormones.
We can’t effectively workout the same exact way throughout our monthly cycle. In the luteal phase, progesterone has a subduing effect on our brain. This makes motivating to do your normal workout routine hard - we just want to be comfortable right?
That’s true if your workout doesn’t match your hormone levels. In the luteal phase, I and my clients decrease the workout intensity so that workouts are easier.
But there is a side effect of decreasing the intensity of your workout - you use more fat.
Not a bad side effect, right? So in my newest youtube workout video I guide you through a luteal phase workout that helps “meet you where you are” and utilize more fat tissue.
