Nutrition and Fitness for your Cycle 101
You may already know this, but most research that is applied to female bodied people is done on male bodied people.
When I first realized this, I was pretty livid.
When I started the practice of cycle syncing I did A LOT of independent research - diving into research papers and experimenting on myself.
So this new youtube video breaks down everything I researched on nutrition and fitness in 11 minutes.
In one part of the video I talk nutrition and in the other part, I talk fitness. I include different nutrients we need at each phase of our cycle + food items you can add to the grocery list. The different nutrients actually help support the 4 phases of our menstrual cycle. And when we support the phases of our cycle, we support our hormones. And when support our hormones, EVERYTHING in our body works for us better. #mindblown
So now, fitness - when we move our body differently according to fluctuating hormones at each phase of our cycle we do two things.
1) take advantage of our fluctuating hormones for energy, strength and fat utilization. 2) create variety in our workouts, and this is key for helping our body adapt to different workout so that we stay fit! #mindblownagain
